Hi, Iā€™m Sarah

Born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, I am an eternal student and seeker of universal wisdom. What I offer publicly today has made all the difference in overcoming many personal challenges and intergenerational trauma.

I graduated from Northwestern University summa cum laude for my undergraduate studies of the French horn and continued on to Manhattan School of Music for graduate studies thereafter.

I am privileged to have had exposure to yoga, meditation, and self-help studies from an early age. I became RYT-200 certified in 2020 under my teacher, Matt Giordano. My movement style draws from Iyengar, hatha and kundalini practices as well as elements of western functional movement, somatic experiencing, and martial arts.

My primary occupation so far has been as a chef. I left a young career as a classical musician in 2012 to begin working in kitchens professionally. I spent fifteen years consuming a primarily plant based diet and prior to working as a cook, had begun blogging and developing vegan recipes. This led to my first full time culinary job at the infamous Pure Food and Wine in NYC. Over the next decade, I spent time in the kitchens of many reputable American restaurants including Pok Pok Ny, Rolf and Daughters, Please, and several on Nantucket Island, where I currently reside. My restaurant career culminated as the opening Chef de Cuisine at Via Mare from 2019 to 2021. I left restaurants to pursue entrepreneurship and full time self employment.

In 2020, I started my organic herbal tea company, Moon Mojo, which sources ingredients from local farms and offers beautiful blends to augment the beauty of daily life with ritual. In 2021, I launched Tenzo Kitchen which offers prepared foods, private events, and personal chef services.

I have always been deeply curious about all things- especially the intersection of metaphysics, spirituality, and modern science. I am an avid reader and I spend time in nature on a daily basis. I practice Brazilian JiuJitsu, Muay Thai, and western style boxing. I love to travel and study.

I am so excited to meet you and to hear about your journey so far.
